My first needle felted 'anything'
This is supposed to be a Yorkie. I used the wrong type of covering. I used alpaca for the back. It should have been darker, but it was shiny. I used llama for the front. Not a good choice. It is too 'heavy' for the alpaca and there isn't any shine. I like doing it and will try again.
I was thinking about trying to make a greyhound for my son but I don't think I am ready for that challenge yet. I will paint a picture for him instead. I know I can do that.
As you can tell, I haven't posted anything for a while. Life keeps getting in the way. I'll try to do better. (I probably said that before.)
I finished making hankies out of my cocoons. I have the eggs in the refrigerator ready to take out next April and start again. 'Playing' with the pupa is not a favorite part of it for me so I think I'll let them all hatch next year and see if I can give some of the eggs away to the schools. Or I'll let them all hatch and have a gazillion caterpillars and a lot of cocoons.
Hope you like the Yorkie. I'll post the next one and hope there will be an improvement.
Linda
